Job Description

Business Operations & Strategy Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Operations & Strategy Lead based in Canada.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution within a fast-growing, AI-driven organization.
You will act as a key operator across the revenue and customer lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution from pricing through contracting and customer handoff.
The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on ownership, requiring someone who can both design and run critical business systems.
You will work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success to streamline workflows and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
A core focus of the role is building AI-enabled workflows that improve speed, scalability, and decision-making across the organization.
You will also lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives that shape pricing, monetization, and go-to-market operations.
This is a highly autonomous role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants direct ownership of business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and coordinate complex enterprise deals across the full lifecycle, from pricing and contracting through customer handoff and onboarding.
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure execution quality.
  • Design, refine, and govern key commercial processes including pricing frameworks, approvals, contract execution, and exception management.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across go-to-market and revenue operations to improve scalability and cycle time.
  • Build and implement AI-driven workflows and automation systems to reduce manual effort and enhance operational decision-making.
  • Develop agentic and automated solutions for pricing analysis, workflow routing, contract generation, and operational monitoring.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning pricing strategy, customer lifecycle optimization, onboarding, and operational readiness.
  • Define KPIs, improve reporting frameworks, and support data-driven decision-making across business operations.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by transforming static workflows into scalable, adaptive systems.
  • Support special projects at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution as business needs evolve.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in business operations, strategy, consulting, RevOps, finance, or similar cross-functional roles.
  • Proven ability to solve ambiguous, complex business problems with structured thinking and practical execution.
  • Experience working in high-growth environments, ideally scaling businesses in the ~$40M–$100M ARR range.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Hands-on experience improving or building business processes such as pricing, contracting, or go-to-market operations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise workflows such as CRM systems, quote-to-cash processes, or commercial operations (preferred).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
  • Exposure to AI tools, automation, or systems design thinking is a strong plus.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to both design and execute solutions independently.
  • Bonus: experience with insurance, enterprise SaaS, or AI-enabled business transformation.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and impact.
  • Flexible remote-friendly work environment within Canada.
  • Opportunity to work directly on high-impact strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge AI and automation applied to real business systems.
  • High autonomy with meaningful ownership of business outcomes.
  • Fast-paced, high-growth environment with strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Career growth opportunities across strategy, operations, and leadership tracks.
  • Work at the intersection of AI, business transformation, and scalable systems design.
