Senior Power BI & MicroStrategy Consultant
Accountabilities:
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Power BI & MicroStrategy Consultant based in Brazil.
In this role, you will join a consulting environment focused on delivering high-impact business intelligence solutions for enterprise clients across multiple industries. You will be responsible for transforming complex and distributed data into clear, actionable insights through advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams, you will play a key role in shaping BI architectures and ensuring data-driven decision-making at scale. The position requires strong expertise across both Power BI and MicroStrategy, with the ability to design robust semantic models and scalable reporting frameworks. You will operate in a client-facing context, translating business needs into effective technical solutions. This is a highly strategic role where your work directly influences business performance, visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade BI solutions using both Power BI and MicroStrategy across diverse client environments.
- Build and support dashboards, reports, scorecards, dossiers, and analytical applications aligned with business requirements.
- Translate complex business needs into scalable data models, semantic layers, KPIs, and reporting structures.
- Develop and optimize calculations, measures, and business logic using Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and MicroStrategy components.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, performance, governance, and scalable BI architecture.
- Support BI modernization, reporting enhancement, and platform optimization initiatives across enterprise ecosystems.
- Troubleshoot, refine, and improve existing dashboards, reports, and semantic models to ensure performance and usability.
- Engage directly with stakeholders and clients to deliver insights, recommendations, and data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to BI best practices, standards, and architectural discussions in a consulting environment.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Visualization roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in both Power BI and MicroStrategy development and administration.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and semantic layer design.
- Solid experience with SQL and relational database environments.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and BI architecture principles.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical BI solutions.
- Proven ability to work in client-facing environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
- Ability to work independently in remote consulting environments with strong ownership.
- Nice to have: experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, ETL pipelines, and enterprise BI migrations.
- Previous consulting or professional services experience is a plus.
