Job Description

Seasonal Part-Time Operations Associate

Local Eclectic
Local Eclectic is a Chicago-based fine jewelry company operating five proprietary brands (Family Gold, For You With Love, Harvest Moon, Carried Jewels, Period Piece), with wholesale partnerships including Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Free People. We have now expanded beyond e-commerce with a flagship retail store and café opening at 212 E. Ontario in downtown Chicago — adding an in-person, high-touch dimension to a highly engaged, authentic customer base.

Position Summary

The Seasonal Part-Time Operations Associate supports the day-to-day operations of Local Eclectic during peak season, helping ensure customer orders, returns, inventory, and incoming deliveries are handled efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate works quickly without sacrificing accuracy, approaches products and tasks mindfully, and brings a strong sense of urgency to their work. Because priorities can change throughout the day and sometimes at short notice, this person must be adaptable, remain focused when workloads fluctuate, and be willing to step in wherever support is needed.

The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable standing for long periods, has no problem lifting large packages or carrying heavy objects up and down stairs. You are also comfortable and confident using technology and have an obsessive attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • A clear sense of urgency and the ability to recognize and respond to time-sensitive priorities.

  • A team-first mindset and willingness to help wherever the workload requires.
  • Ability to stay focused, productive, and mindful during both busy and slower periods.
  • Reliability, clear communication, and follow-through on assigned tasks.
