Junior Staff Accountant
San Diego Corporate Office
Full-Time (M-F) 8:30 am 4:30 pm
FLSA Status: Non-exempt $23.00–$25.00 per hour DOE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Staff Accountant with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (A/P) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding company.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on A/P experience, strong organizational skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Experience supporting other accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable and collections, is a plus. This role offers the opportunity for mentorship and long-term development within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities (this is not a comprehensive list of duties)
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Review invoices, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
- Support general accounting functions and administrative accounting tasks
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments
- Assist with A/R, collections, and other accounting duties as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters

Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
- Stable work history and desire for long-term career growth
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and collections is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
REQUIREMENTS:
