The HSE Coordinator supports project-level health, safety, and environmental initiatives by assisting with safety program implementation, conducting compliance reviews, and promoting a culture of safety excellence. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

• Assist with the development and implementation of site-specific safety programs and procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze audit results, feedback, and safety data to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate site safety orientations and ensure workers understand required safety practices.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and client safety representatives to maintain alignment on safety expectations.
• Support substance abuse testing programs and other site safety initiatives when applicable.
• Monitor job site compliance with safety policies, regulations, and organizational standards.
• Promote safe work practices by serving as a safety advocate and role model in the field.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and safety records.
• Support efficient operations by addressing safety concerns and assisting teams with solutions.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and a positive safety culture.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting health and safety programs within construction environments and demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The role requires the ability to interpret safety regulations, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of health and safety experience within the construction industry, or 5+ years of construction experience.
• Required First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, and regulatory materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
• Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a project environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships with teams, clients, and external partners.
• Ability to work on active job sites and meet physical requirements associated with construction environments.

• Annual base salary range of approximately $75,000–$85,000, depending on experience, skills, education, and location.
