Salary range: $65K - $75K

Position Summary

The Manager of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Operations, reporting directly to the Director of DEIB, plays a central operational and programmatic leadership role in helping the Lycée live its mission to graduate “Citizens of Culture and Courage.” The Manager acts as the operational hub of the DEIB department, translating high-level strategy into seamless daily practices, institutional project plans, and community programs across all divisions (Nursery–Grade 12).

Working closely with the Director, division heads, pedagogical teams, and student leaders, the Manager ensures departmental goals are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Manager serves as a primary liaison for student affinity groups, family onboarding, professional development logistics, and data systems, while helping foster an inclusive, bilingual, and multicultural environment where every community member thrives.

The Manager of DEIB Operations should be a self-starting, highly organized, and collaborative professional with exceptional project management, financial oversight, and interpersonal skills. The ability to navigate complex cultural nuances and build trust across diverse student, parent, and faculty groups is essential. All employees are strongly encouraged to work towards proficiency in both French and English languages and to develop a familiarity and understanding of the Lycée's multicultural environment.

At the Lycée, the student is at the center of the system. All staff are expected to provide encouragement, offer positive reinforcement, and show respect for each student. All employees should truly and enthusiastically believe in the Lycée’s Mission supporting the vision of the Head of School and the Board of Trustees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Director of DEIB, the Manager of DEIB Operations is responsible for the following tasks:

1. Project Management & Department Operations
  • Lead Annual Implementation Planning: Build, track, and monitor annual DEIB project timelines, implementation plans, and departmental priorities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

  • Streamline Workflows: Organize departmental meetings, calendars, task workflows, and follow-up actions across all divisions.

  • Maintain Operational Systems: Establish and preserve procedures, digital archives, shared folders, templates, and operational documentation to build institutional memory.

  • Support Cross-Divisional Initiatives: Serve as the central point of contact for implementing cross-divisional, schoolwide DEIB action plans in partnership with division heads and cycle coordinators.

2. Program & Event Implementation
  • Coordinate Faculty Learning Logistics: Direct operational logistics for adult learning, including New Faculty Onboarding, the Annual Faculty Learning Progression, and ongoing professional development in partnership with the Director and the Dean of Innovation and Professional Learning.

  • Manage Schoolwide Signature Events: Lead the end-to-end operational planning for major initiatives such as the Day of Understanding, Day of Belonging, Baldwin Day, guest speaker series, workshops, and conferences.

  • Manage Event Operations: Oversee room reservations, vendor contracts, purchasing, registration workflows, attendance tracking, and day-of event execution.

  • Evaluate Program Impact: Design and distribute post-event feedback tools to evaluate program efficacy and drive continuous improvement.

3. Student Leadership, Affinity Groups & Family Engagement
  • Serve as Operational Liaison: Manage the calendar, scheduling, purchasing, and communications for Affinity Group Advisors and student leadership initiatives (Note: educational leadership, coaching, and sensitive student matters remain with the Director and relevant academic leaders).

  • Maintain Advisor & Student Resources: Standardize shared resources, guidebooks, and toolkits for student leaders and faculty advisors.

  • Support Onboarding & Community Programs: Partner with school leaders to execute DEIB components of New Student Onboarding, New Family Onboarding, parent learning opportunities, and family-facing resources.

4. Communications, Data & Systems Administration
  • Manage Departmental Communications: Draft and distribute faculty, student, and family communications, including newsletter updates, announcements, slide decks, and digital media.

  • Maintain Web & Digital Platforms: Update DEIB web pages, registration systems, shared resource libraries, and workflow tools.

  • Lead Data Collection & Analytics: Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (climate surveys, participation metrics, candidate pipelines, and feedback logs) to produce annual reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.

5. Financial & Administrative Management
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor and track the daily DEIB departmental budget, ensuring accurate accounting and alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Financial Processing: Manage purchasing, vendor contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment processing in coordination with the Business Office.

  • Travel & Professional Development: Coordinate travel arrangements, conference registrations, and expense reports for departmental staff and faculty attending external DEIB conferences.

  • General Duties: Attend school assemblies, games, concerts, galas, and other events; perform other duties as assigned by the Director of DEIB.

  • Project & Process Mastery: Exceptional organizational agility with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands, create clean operational workflows, and execute flawless events.

  • Discretion & Confidentiality: Maintains absolute confidentiality and high ethical standards when handling sensitive student, family, or personnel information.

  • Systems Thinking & Analytical Acumen: Comfortable working with data sets, climate metrics, and narrative feedback to translate raw input into clear executive summaries and actionable goals.

  • Relational Leadership: Possesses an approachable, warm presence that builds immediate trust with students, faculty/staff, and parents alike.
