The Senior Director, Growth & Operations, FAA & DoT Solutions will lead growth strategies, business development activities, and operational initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Drive growth strategies for federal aviation and transportation business areas by identifying opportunities and aligning solutions with customer missions.
- Lead the full business development and capture lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, strategy development, proposal support, and successful delivery.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior customer executives, mission owners, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term campaign strategies that strengthen market positioning and create new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, delivery teams, and technical experts to develop compelling solutions and customer-focused strategies.
- Oversee special projects and operational initiatives to ensure successful execution, client satisfaction, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop opportunity pipelines, conduct market research, and maintain awareness of customer priorities, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Engage with industry associations, potential teaming partners, and strategic stakeholders to expand relationships and partnership opportunities.
- Lead the creation of proposals, white papers, business plans, marketing materials, and opportunity-specific solutions.
- Support technical, pricing, and strategic reviews to ensure competitive and effective business approaches.
- Provide customer insights and market intelligence throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Mentor and motivate cross-functional teams while fostering collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is a strategic business development executive with extensive experience in federal aviation and transportation programs, strong customer relationships, and proven success driving growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aeronautics, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline required; MBA or MPA preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business development, operations, or related leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining trusted relationships with FAA and DoT mission owners and decision-makers.
- Proven success winning large-scale contracts and delivering strong operational outcomes within aviation or transportation programs.
- Established network across FAA, DoT, partner agencies, and industry organizations with knowledge of customer structures, missions, and procurement processes.
- Experience engaging with aviation and transportation stakeholders such as industry associations and mission-focused organizations.
- Strong understanding of technology solutions including communications, cloud, cybersecurity, IT service management, application modernization, data management, and artificial intelligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and ability to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams in complex and evolving environments.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% or more, including domestic and international travel as needed.
- Competitive annual salary range of $225,250–$304,750 USD, depending on experience, location, and other factors.
