The Senior Manager, People Experience will act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders while owning key people initiatives, employee relations, and organizational development programs. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational execution, and strong relationship-building skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for the global R&D organization, building trusted partnerships with engineering and product leaders.
- Develop a deep understanding of team structures, organizational needs, culture, and workforce dynamics to provide effective HR guidance.
- Advise leaders on organizational design, role clarity, team effectiveness, leadership development, and employee engagement.
- Support workforce planning and headcount strategy in partnership with leadership and talent acquisition teams.
- Manage employee relations matters across US-based teams, including investigations, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, and employee separations.
- Ensure employee relations processes are documented consistently and aligned with applicable employment regulations across multiple states.
- Guide managers through sensitive conversations with empathy, structure, and sound judgment.
- Support company-wide HR programs, including performance reviews, engagement initiatives, compensation cycles, and manager effectiveness programs.
- Partner with managers on talent reviews, promotions, calibrations, and compensation decisions.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership on hiring processes, offer strategy, internal equity reviews, and hiring manager enablement.
- Support HR technology implementation efforts, including job architecture, data accuracy, and organizational leveling consistency.
- Own and improve job architecture and leveling frameworks to ensure consistency across teams.
- Lead strategic HR projects and contribute to leadership development and manager training initiatives.
- Help build scalable People programs that support organizational growth and employee success.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR Business Partner with a strong background supporting technical organizations and managing complex employee matters. Required qualifications and skills include:
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a dedicated HR Business Partner role.
- Proven experience supporting technical, engineering, product, or R&D teams.
- Strong employee relations expertise, including investigations, performance management, difficult conversations, and separations.
- Strong understanding of US employment law, including experience supporting teams across multiple states.
- Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition teams on hiring strategy, offers, equity reviews, and hiring manager support.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of ownership.
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with leaders at all levels.
- Experience developing and improving HR processes, programs, and organizational frameworks.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth technology environment or private equity-backed organization is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR systems and tools such as HRIS, ATS, employee engagement platforms, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams, leadership development programs, or manager training initiatives is advantageous.
- Ability to manage computer-based work requiring extended periods of sitting and repetitive keyboard use.
- Estimated base salary range of $150,000 - $155,000 USD, plus bonus opportunities.
