Job Description

Vice President, Product Management - Platform

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Product Management - Platform based in United States.

This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping the future of a core enterprise technology platform that powers multiple products and customer experiences.
You will define the long-term platform vision, strategy, and roadmap while enabling teams to build faster, scale efficiently, and deliver greater value.
The role sits at the intersection of product leadership, engineering collaboration, architecture, and business transformation.
You will lead the evolution of shared capabilities including AI services, APIs, data platforms, integrations, security, and extensibility frameworks.
This position requires a strategic product leader who can drive platform convergence, influence executive stakeholders, and create alignment across multiple product areas.
You will have a significant impact on how enterprise customers and partners leverage technology to solve complex business challenges.

Accountabilities:

The Vice President of Product Management - Platform will own the strategy, execution, and business outcomes of a foundational platform ecosystem. This role will establish platform-as-a-product practices, lead a high-performing product organization, and ensure shared capabilities enable innovation across the broader product portfolio.

  • Define and execute a multi-year platform product strategy covering shared services such as data models, identity and security, workflows, configuration, APIs, integrations, observability, reporting, and AI-powered capabilities.
  • Lead the transition toward a unified cloud platform by driving platform convergence, product alignment, and scalable architecture decisions.
  • Build, manage, and develop a team of platform product managers with clear ownership areas, strong product practices, and a platform-first mindset.
  • Establish product governance, prioritization frameworks, and operating models that enable effective collaboration between platform teams and product lines.
  • Drive extensibility and ecosystem strategies by improving APIs, integration frameworks, developer experiences, and configuration capabilities for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Partner closely with engineering, architecture, customer-facing teams, and executives to define priorities and deliver measurable platform outcomes.
  • Champion non-functional product requirements including scalability, performance, reliability, security, and compliance for enterprise customers.
  • Accelerate adoption of shared AI and intelligence services across multiple product areas.
  • Create visibility into platform investments, trade-offs, dependencies, and business impact through clear metrics and executive communication.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and continuously improve platform capabilities based on customer, market, and internal stakeholder needs.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced product executive with a strong background in enterprise platforms, SaaS products, and cross-functional leadership. They should have the technical depth, strategic vision, and communication skills needed to influence complex organizations and deliver large-scale platform transformations.

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including 5+ years leading product management teams.
  • Significant experience owning platform, infrastructure, shared-services, or developer-focused products rather than only customer-facing applications.
  • Proven success leading platform consolidation, re-platforming initiatives, or moving multi-product organizations toward a common technology foundation.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, data architecture, integrations, extensibility models, and modern platform ecosystems.
  • Experience building enterprise B2B SaaS products, ideally serving large regulated organizations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to align engineering, product teams, business leaders, and go-to-market stakeholders around shared priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to make strategic trade-offs, prioritize effectively, and defend decisions using data and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience building and scaling product organizations, including developing talent, processes, and career paths.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, LLM-powered products, or agentic AI experiences.
  • Experience with revenue management, pricing, CPQ, contracts, compliance, channel management, or related enterprise domains is a plus.
  • Knowledge of composable/headless architectures, event-driven platforms, marketplaces, or ecosystem strategies is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive executive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to lead the strategy of a high-impact enterprise technology platform.
  • Leadership role within an innovative environment focused on AI, cloud technology, and digital transformation.
  • Ability to influence product direction across multiple business areas and customer segments.
  • Collaborative culture with opportunities to work alongside experienced product, engineering, and business leaders.
  • Professional growth opportunities through strategic ownership and executive-level visibility.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package, including healthcare and financial wellness programs (where applicable).
  • Flexible work environment designed to support modern ways of working.
