Staff Team Member Relations Partner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Team Member Relations Partner based in the United States.

This Staff-level role offers the opportunity to shape employee relations strategies within a global, remote-first organization.
The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on complex workplace matters, helping leaders navigate sensitive situations while strengthening the overall team member experience.
Working closely with People, Legal, and business leaders, this role will influence policies, programs, and practices that support a fair, consistent, and inclusive workplace.
The position combines investigation expertise, strategic advisory skills, and the ability to drive scalable solutions across a distributed workforce.

Accountabilities:

The Staff Team Member Relations Partner will serve as a subject matter expert for complex employee relations matters, supporting leaders and cross-functional teams with strategic guidance, investigations, and scalable workplace solutions. This role requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to influence across a global organization.

  • Lead complex and sensitive workplace investigations from intake through resolution, including conducting interviews, analyzing information, preparing investigation reports, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Advise and coach leaders at all levels on employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace concerns, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Legal and People Business Partners to assess cases, determine appropriate approaches, and ensure consistent handling of sensitive situations.
  • Develop proactive employee relations programs designed to prevent workplace issues and improve team member experiences.
  • Analyze employee relations trends and provide actionable insights to senior leaders to support policy improvements and organizational decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and evolution of workplace policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with applicable requirements and organizational values.
  • Provide guidance on employment regulations and employee relations practices across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support global governance of employee relations processes by ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving employee experiences, reducing risk, and creating scalable solutions.
  • Influence organizational change by building strong partnerships with leaders and stakeholders without relying on direct authority.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for complex workplace matters requiring discretion, empathy, and strategic thinking.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced employee relations professional with a strong background in workplace investigations, employment practices, and strategic HR partnership. They should be comfortable operating in complex, distributed environments and handling highly confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment.

  • Progressive experience in employee relations or team member relations, including independently leading complex, multi-party workplace investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of United States employment laws and regulations relevant to employee relations, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and EEOC processes.
  • Experience working within distributed, global, or multi-jurisdictional organizations with diverse regulatory and cultural environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, drive organizational change, and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong investigation skills, including interviewing, documentation, analysis, and preparation of clear and defensible reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations effectively.
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, empathy, and professionalism when managing complex workplace matters.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and business judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Experience interpreting employment regulations outside the United States is a plus.
  • SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification is preferred but not required.
