You will coordinate coalition activities, stakeholder engagement, youth participation, and public engagement campaigns focused on advancing healthier environments for children.
The role combines project coordination, communications, relationship management, and policy-focused advocacy in a collaborative environment.
You will work closely with internal teams, coalition members, youth representatives, government stakeholders, and community partners.
The position offers the opportunity to contribute to campaigns that influence public policy and mobilize people around important health priorities.
You will help turn advocacy strategies into coordinated actions, communications, meetings, and engagement initiatives.

- Coordinate coalition working group meetings, including agendas, minutes, member communications, follow-ups, and action-item tracking.
- Support advocacy projects by coordinating meetings with external stakeholders, government officials, coalition members, and internal constituents.
- Track and document government and stakeholder meetings in alignment with advocacy plans.
- Draft and coordinate advocacy and communications materials, including briefing documents, letters, emails, newsletters, and stakeholder updates.
- Maintain coalition communication channels, stakeholder contact lists, newsletters, and relevant digital content.
- Coordinate updates to advocacy campaign websites and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure information remains current.
- Co-develop annual engagement plans for youth advisory activities and facilitate regular meetings and follow-through.
- Guide and support youth council activities, document outcomes, and identify opportunities to connect youth engagement with broader advocacy priorities.
- Maintain project budgets, contracts, invoices, briefings, policy updates, research, and other relevant documentation.
- Support internal content, legal, and brand review processes and ensure projects follow established organizational procedures.
- Help disseminate project updates, research, evidence, and campaign materials to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to public engagement campaigns and short-term advocacy projects while supporting senior leaders with coordination and execution.
- Build strong, productive relationships with coalition members, volunteers, government representatives, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in political science, communications, public policy, public health, or a related field is preferred.
- General understanding of government relations and demonstrated interest in advocacy, health policy, communications, or public engagement.
- Experience working with and coordinating diverse stakeholders, volunteers, coalitions, or community groups.
- Experience coordinating volunteers, youth groups, advisory groups, or similar collaborative initiatives is an asset.
- Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear materials for different audiences.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Docs, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and remain effective in a fast-paced environment where plans may change.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adopt new digital tools.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Applicants must currently reside in Canada and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Hiring salary range of $46,000–$60,000, depending on professional background and experience.
- Hybrid working model with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada.
