Accountabilities
  • Execute risk-based audits covering financial reporting, regulatory capital, liquidity, treasury, and other critical finance activities within complex banking processes.
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across key finance functions and identify significant control gaps and risk exposures.
  • Analyze audit findings to identify thematic issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for strengthening governance and control environments.
  • Lead end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, stakeholder discussions, documentation, and executive-level reporting.
  • Apply established audit methodologies and ensure audit activities align with relevant regulatory expectations and professional standards.
  • Provide independent and constructive challenge to senior finance and business leaders regarding governance, risk management, and internal control matters.
  • Leverage data analysis, financial expertise, and industry knowledge to evaluate risks, validate findings, and develop practical, risk-focused recommendations.
  • Communicate audit conclusions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, supporting effective remediation and sustainable improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant internal audit experience within a large global banking organization.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory capital, liquidity, treasury, and finance-related control environments.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk-based audits from planning through completion and executive-level reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control assessment, risk management, governance, and audit methodologies.
  • Ability to independently challenge senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial and risk matters clearly.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to identify emerging risks and translate audit observations into practical, business-focused recommendations.
  • Must reside in the continental United States.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future; employment eligibility verification will be required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Two-month project-based contract.
  • Opportunity to support a complex global banking environment.
  • Exposure to high-impact finance, risk, governance, and regulatory audit activities.
  • Opportunity to work directly with senior finance and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply advanced internal audit expertise to critical banking processes and emerging risks.
