This role is focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of a highly technical, web-based platform used in the design and construction of residential homes. You will act as a critical quality gate between development and production, validating complex user flows, 3D modeling features, and CAD-related outputs with a strong attention to real-world building standards. The position requires a unique blend of software testing expertise and practical knowledge of drafting or homebuilding documentation. You will collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to identify edge cases early and prevent issues before they reach end users. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply technical, with strong emphasis on product quality and continuous improvement. - Perform manual testing of new features, regression scenarios, and complex user workflows within a web-based CAD and home design platform.
- Apply production-level drafting and homebuilding knowledge to validate accuracy of design outputs and ensure alignment with real-world construction standards.
- Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to identify edge cases and validate functionality before release.
- Log, track, and manage defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring clear and actionable bug reporting.
- Support release cycles by validating fixes, contributing to QA sign-off, and reviewing automated test coverage gaps.
- 3+ years of experience in production homebuilding, drafting, or construction documentation, including master plan sets and option management.
- Strong experience with CAD/BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of how production-level architectural or building documentation is created and used in real-world construction.
- Experience testing complex software systems, ideally including web applications or design/3D visualization tools.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail in bug reporting and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English (all communication and work is conducted in English).
- Must be based in Brazil.
- Bonus: familiarity with Agile environments, software QA processes, and tools like Linear or Qase.
