Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) in Canada.
This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, product thinking, and customer-facing delivery, focusing on building high-impact internal applications powered by modern AI systems. You will embed directly with business stakeholders to identify operational opportunities and turn them into scalable, production-ready tools. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on ownership, autonomy, and measurable impact. You will work across the full lifecycle of AI-enabled products, from discovery and design to deployment and adoption. The role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong technical depth, and the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and quality. You will use agentic AI development tools as a core part of your workflow to accelerate delivery. Success is defined by real-world usage, adoption, and business outcomes rather than just technical completion.
- Partner with cross-functional business teams (Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and others) to uncover and prioritize opportunities where AI can improve workflows and efficiency
- Lead end-to-end product delivery, including discovery, requirements definition, prototyping, development, deployment, and production rollout
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and scalable AI-driven solutions
- Build and maintain full-stack internal applications using modern AI tools and cloud infrastructure
- Use agentic coding environments (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Augment) as primary development tools to accelerate engineering workflows
- Manage deployment, adoption, and post-launch iteration based on real user feedback and performance data
- Ensure appropriate engineering standards around reliability, security, and maintainability for internal systems handling sensitive data
- Produce documentation, training materials, and rollout plans to drive successful adoption across teams
- Contribute reusable components, best practices, and technical learnings back to broader AI engineering initiatives
- 4+ years of professional experience shipping production software end to end, including AI-enabled or AI-integrated applications
- Strong ability to translate unclear business needs into structured product and technical requirements
- Full-stack engineering expertise across frontend, backend, and data systems
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Augment
- Experience deploying and operating applications on a major cloud platform
- Understanding of application security principles, especially for systems handling sensitive organizational data
- Strong product judgment with ability to scope MVPs, prioritize features, and define clear success criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Competitive base salary (Canada-based compensation aligned with experience and location)
- Equity participation in a high-growth organization
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families
- Life insurance and mental health support programs
- Fertility, family planning, and parental support benefits
- Flexible time off policy plus company-paid holidays
- Paid medical leave, parental leave, and bereavement leave
- Retirement savings plans
- Home office and technology setup allowance
- Annual learning and professional development stipend.
