This role is a key leadership position within a fast-paced SaaS environment focused on transforming healthcare through technology and data-driven solutions. You will lead a multidisciplinary software delivery team, ensuring alignment between engineering execution and product strategy. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will drive clarity, delivery discipline, and continuous improvement. The role combines people management, technical oversight, and delivery accountability in an Agile/Kanban environment. You will play a central part in shaping team culture, performance, and engineering practices while enabling scalable and predictable software delivery. In addition, you will contribute to the organization’s broader AI-driven transformation by supporting new ways of working and innovation across teams. Your leadership will directly influence the quality and impact of solutions that improve healthcare systems across Canada.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary software delivery team (typically 8–12 members), providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure strong execution and accountability.
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee end-to-end software delivery, ensuring realistic timelines, clear objectives, and effective workload management.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Architecture to align on vision, define scope, and ensure solutions meet functional and technical expectations.
- Identify, manage, and remove delivery blockers while continuously improving workflows, tools, and engineering processes.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on ownership, trust, continuous learning, and delivery excellence.
- Monitor delivery metrics such as velocity, quality, and predictability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Product and Architecture, balancing technical feasibility, customer value, and business priorities.
- 6+ years of experience in software development or engineering-related roles, including at least 4 years in engineering leadership or management positions.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end software delivery in a fast-paced SaaS or product-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of software delivery practices, including planning, estimation, testing, deployment, and quality assurance.
- Solid technical literacy with the ability to engage effectively with developers, QA engineers, and architects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate between technical and business perspectives.
- Experience fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, accountability, and team empowerment.
- Ability to guide teams through Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models.
