As a senior member of the team, you’ll help establish engineering best practices and mentor less experienced developers.

- Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify business needs, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and reliable software solutions across a diverse microservices-based architecture.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Apply and promote modern software engineering practices through architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and peer code reviews.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code and expand automated test coverage to strengthen system reliability and long-term scalability.
- Support successful feature launches, including improving monitoring and observability where needed to ensure production stability.
- Contribute to CI/CD improvements and implementation of deployment practices that enable efficient and reliable delivery.
- Help establish technical standards, engineering best practices, and scalable development processes across the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide constructive feedback through code reviews, and contribute to the overall technical growth of the engineering organization.
- Work collaboratively within agile development sprints while adapting quickly to new technical challenges and evolving product requirements.
- 6+ years of experience in software development and system design, with significant experience building backend or platform-oriented systems.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, with additional React or Angular experience considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience designing robust systems and working with cloud-based architectures and scalable distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software testing practices and experience building and maintaining comprehensive automated test suites.
- Experience conducting peer code reviews and providing meaningful technical feedback to other engineers.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud is an asset.
- Experience working with microservices architectures and the ability to navigate diverse technical environments and evolving technology stacks.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable collaborating in fast-paced, agile engineering environments and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Adaptable and curious, with a strong willingness to learn new technologies and tackle unfamiliar engineering challenges.
