Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant | Walk-In Clinic | Buffalo, MO in Buffalo, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Dallas County Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic is one of the busiest in our health system. As a provider here, you'll see everything that comes through the door on a first-come, first-served basis — acute visits, lacerations, fractures — alongside the occasional MI, stroke, or PE that needs to be caught and stabilized before transfer. X-ray, lab, and EKG are all in-house, and a physician is always available in person or by phone.

This role fits an NP or PA who wants to provide the full-spectrum of care, working alongside an established team that already knows how to run this clinic well.

The Opportunity

• Full-time, rotating schedule with a weekend requirement of 1:3
• Clinic is open 365 days a year, with abbreviated hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
• Weekday staffing: two APPs, two PCAs, and a nurse
• Weekend staffing: one APP with a nurse/PCA team
• Patients of all ages and acuity levels
• EMR: Meditech Expanse. AI scribe support through Suki
• Physician consultation always available, in person or by phone

Life in Buffalo
Buffalo is the Dallas County seat — a small, close-knit community of around 3,300, part of the greater Springfield metro area. It's a slower pace than Springfield with easy access to it when you want it, and it's the kind of place where the walk-in clinic staff know a good chunk of the patients who walk through the door. Buffalo is equally close to Bolivar when you need a specialty referral to Citizens Memorial Hospital and the rest of the collegial Medical Staff.

Requirements

• Current NP or PA license, or license eligibility, in Missouri
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Availability for the weekend and holiday rotation
