Job Description
Kotlar Cohen is a Mount Laurel, NJ-based company that has been providing quality legal service for over 40 years. We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to join our law firm, which specializes in personal injury, workers’ compensation litigation, medical revenue billing. As the Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the long-term financial controls of the firm. We are looking for an independent and detail-oriented individual who is eager to take on financial responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Pay Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Assist in managing the financial operations of the law firm, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Expense Management: Track and analyze expenses, ensuring they are properly allocated, recorded, and reported.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in the processing of invoices, billings, payments, and collections in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, attorneys, and administrative staff to ensure smooth financial operations and provide support as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting is preferred.
Motivated and Driven: Strong ambition and desire to take on increasing responsibilities and grow within the organization.
Independent Worker: Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously to take ownership of financial responsibilities.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
Integrity: Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in handling financial matters.
Organization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with others, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
