Position Summary:
Jordan Valley Health is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to support our Finance, Human Resources (HR), and Revenue Cycle teams. This cross-functional role will report to the CFO and will play a pivotal part in optimizing operational efficiency, analyzing data trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data management tools, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and manage data from Finance, HR, and Revenue Cycle departments.
- Develop and maintain databases, dashboards, and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance, workforce management, and revenue optimization.
- Assist the Finance team with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting by analyzing revenue streams, expenses, and operational costs.
- Provide insights into profitability, cost reductions, and resource allocation.
- Understand the business process management of the company to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s financial situation.
- Analyze workforce data including employee turnover, engagement, time tracking, compensation, and benefits trends.
- Support HR in developing reports related to recruitment, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with HR-related laws and regulations through accurate data tracking and reporting.
- Analyze billing, claims, and collections data to assess performance and efficiency of revenue cycle processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce denials, improve collections, and streamline revenue operations.
- Work closely with the Rev Cycle team to enhance payment reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to department leaders, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by department heads, identifying key trends and areas of concern.
- Work closely with department leads to understand specific data needs and tailor analysis accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and sharing of best practices.
- Support process improvements by integrating data insights into department workflows and operational strategies.

- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
- Learn the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s financial situation, investigate data and implement solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) and financial ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel between different Jordan Valley Health locations as needed.
- Full-time position 40 Hrs. per week.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Completed bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related field is required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years of related experience in finance models, reporting, budgeting, etc., data analysis, preferably in healthcare addressing the disciplines of finance, HR settings and/or Revenue Cycle.
- Must be highly organized and independent
- Advanced utilization in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, etc.)
- Smartsheet, NetSuite/Oracle ERP, EPIC EHR.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, etc.
- Proficiency in SQL and other database query language.
