About the Role:

The 1st Shift Flex Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing or production equipment during the first shift. This position is responsible for monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining machinery to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards. The operator will collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility is key in this role, as the operator may be required to perform various tasks across different production lines or equipment types. Ultimately, the role contributes directly to meeting production goals, maintaining product quality, and supporting a safe and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Availability to work the 1st shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to cross-train on multiple machines or production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment during the first shift to ensure consistent output and quality.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment malfunctions and downtime.
  • Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain optimal production flow.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate production status, report issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
  • Adapt to different tasks and equipment as needed to support flexible production schedules.
