About the Role:
The 2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am, Haeger Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining Haeger machines to produce high-quality components efficiently and safely. This position is responsible for setting up the machine, monitoring its operation, and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product consistency. The operator will work closely with quality control and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe working environment and meet production targets. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by ensuring that products meet strict quality standards during the second shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating Haeger machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment on a 2nd shift schedule.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
- Certification in machine operation or industrial maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Haeger machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the shift, making adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure optimal functionality.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or defects to the maintenance team promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with quality control to inspect finished products and ensure compliance with standards.
Skills:
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for setting up and operating the Haeger machine accurately and safely. Reading and interpreting technical documents ensures that the operator can follow production specifications precisely.
