About the Role:
The 2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-12:00am, Flex Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing or production processes during the second shift. This position is responsible for operating machinery, monitoring production lines, and maintaining quality standards to meet company goals and customer expectations. The role requires adaptability to work various tasks and support different areas of the production floor as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. The operator will contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and promptly addressing any operational issues. Ultimately, this position supports continuous production flow and helps achieve operational targets through diligent and precise work during the 2nd shift hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule consistently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn operation of production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating flexographic printing or similar production equipment.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and documentation.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
- Certification in workplace safety or manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation during the 2nd shift.
- Perform quality checks on products to maintain compliance with company standards and report any deviations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and participate in safety training and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
- Support cross-functional tasks and assist other operators as needed to ensure flexibility and continuous workflow.
Skills:
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for operating and monitoring production equipment accurately and safely. Communication skills enable the operator to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members to maintain workflow. Flexibility and adaptability are used daily to support various tasks across the production floor, ensuring continuous operation during the 2nd shift.
