Elementary Teacher – Westside Jacksonville, FL

Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our team on the Westside of Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting student growth, academic achievement, and social-emotional development.
Our school welcomes teachers with or without Florida certification, as long as they hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and possess strong foundational teaching skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
2–3 years of experience teaching elementary-aged students
Experience working in Title I / Title 2 schools strongly preferred
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
Ability to implement differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families, administrators, and staff
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Florida teaching certification is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities
Create lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and academic standards
Deliver high-quality instruction in a student-friendly and engaging manner
Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
Assess student performance and communicate academic progress to parents and school leadership
Implement behavior management strategies that support positive student behavior
Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs through differentiation and support services
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Support the mission, vision, and values of the school community
Skills & Competencies
Strong instructional delivery

Relationship-building with students and families
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
