About This Position

Description:

PURPOSE:

Westrafo America is a new manufacturing facility specializing in the production of electrical transformers. We are building a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations within Westrafo America. This role oversees inventory management, material flow, inbound and outbound logistics, and warehouse personnel while ensuring efficient processes that support production and customer delivery requirements.

The Warehouse Manager will design and implement scalable warehouse processes, maintain accurate inventory control, and lead the integrations and optimization of SAP warehouse and inventory systems. This individual plays a key role in ensuring materials are properly received, stored, tracked, and delivered to production or customers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

DUTIES:

Warehouse Leadership & Operations:

· Lead and manage all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, staging, and shipping.

· Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff while establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.

· Develop and maintain warehouse workflows that support manufacturing schedules and customer delivery timelines.

· Optimize warehouse layout, storage methods, and material handling practices to improve efficiency and safety.

· Establish operational KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, shipping performance, and warehouse productivity.

Inventory Management & Control:

· Develop and implement inventory control processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation procedures, and inventory audits.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical inventory and system data.

· Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production and minimize shortages or excess inventory.

· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

SAP Integration & System Management:

· Lead the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of SAP warehouse and inventory management processes.

· Ensure accurate material transactions, including receiving, issuing, transfers, and inventory adjustments within SAP.

· Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to optimize SAP functionality related to materials management.

· Develop training and standard operating procedures for warehouse personnel related to SAP usage and inventory transactions.

· Generate and analyze system reports to support decision-making and operational improvements.

Inbound & Outbound Logistics:

· Oversee inbound logistics, including scheduling, receiving, and inspection of incoming materials and components.

· Manage outbound shipments of finished transformers, components, and spare parts to customers and project locations.

· Coordinate with freight carriers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.

· Ensure proper documentation, packaging, and compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.

Process Development & Continuous Improvement:

· Design and implement standardized warehouse procedures and best practices.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce handling time, and streamline material flow between the warehouse and production.

· Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

· Develop scalable systems and processes to support company growth and increased production capacity.

Safety & Compliance:

· Ensure warehouse operations comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.

· Maintain safe material handling procedures, including proper operations of forklifts and lifting equipment.

· Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability within the warehouse team.

· Maintain compliance with quality and operational standards applicable to transformer manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

· 5-8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience with SAP, including inventory and warehouse management modules.

· Experience developing warehouse processes and inventory control systems.

· Strong knowledge of inbound/outbound logistics, freight coordination, and material handling.

· Previous experience managing or supervising warehouse personnel preferred.

· Strong leadership and team development skills.

· Inventory control and materials management expertise.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, engineering, and sales teams.

· Forklift certification will be required.
