About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist in a caring, professional and efficient manner. To obtain examinations of the highest quality, this staff member follows established scanning protocols but also routinely utilizes a high level of clinical expertise and problem solving in their modality. Able to determine appropriateness of providers order in relationship to patients' clinical signs and symptoms. Has the clinical expertise to modify scan sequences as needed to optimize image quality. Determines appropriate positioning, sequences and scan parameters for each study and reviews images for clarity, exam completeness and accuracy to assure the radiologist is able to clearly visualize the area of concern.

The MRI Technologist maintains a positive customer service attitude when performing all duties. Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to standards of the profession. Carries out all responsibilities in line with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates in Radiologic Technology
- 1 year imaging –MRI Experience
- Registered Technologist- ARRT
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 18 months of employment
- BLSP within 30 days of hire
PREFERRED:
- 2 years imaging –MRI Experience
- MR Safety Expert
