POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate performs the full range of functions within our distribution center, supporting the receiving, put-away, inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping of tools, equipment, and parts. Depending on business needs and assignment, a Warehouse Associate may be assigned to receiving, inventory and replenishment, picking, packing (including operation of the Box on Demand system), or shipping duties, ensuring that materials move efficiently and accurately from intake through outbound delivery.

General Warehouse Duties
· Conveys materials and items between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas
· Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
· Uses a computer or scan gun to enter and update inventory and order records
· Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
· Carries out tasks assigned by the warehouse supervisor or upper management
· Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Receiving
· Unloads, inspects, and verifies incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders
· Ensures all received items are damage-free and meet quality standards
· Labels and organizes received goods in designated storage locations
· Communicates discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the Warehouse Supervisor or Inventory Control team
Inventory, Put-Away, and Special Projects
· Receives, puts away, and stocks cartons and palletized products daily
· Ensures accurate placement of inventory in designated bin locations for real-time inventory control
· Replenishes pick locations by transferring inventory from overflow to primary picking areas
· Conducts cycle counts, verifies inventory accuracy, and investigates and corrects discrepancies
· Monitors expiration dates on date-sensitive products and coordinates removal or transfer
· Assists with special warehouse projects such as stock consolidation and space optimization
Picking
· Retrieves tools and equipment according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment
· Assembles customer orders from stock and conveys them to the packing or shipping station
· Verifies accurate inventory counts both on shelves and in the system
Packing and Box on Demand (BOD)
· Operates the Box on Demand (BOD) machine to create custom-sized boxes for shipment
· Ensures accurate box dimensions based on order specifications and inspects finished boxes for quality and durability
· Maintains a steady supply of materials for the BOD machine and performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting
· Prepares parcels for mailing and works with the packing team to optimize packaging efficiency
Shipping
· Verifies shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and labels, for accuracy
· Ensures all outgoing shipments are properly packaged, damage-free, and compliant with carrier requirements
· Processes shipments via FedEx, UPS, and common carriers, following specific shipping instructions
· Operates shipping software and warehouse management systems to update order status
· Organizes and stages shipments to optimize warehouse space and workflow

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse setting is preferred; two or more years is preferred for shipping or receiving assignments
· Previous scan gun experience is required
· Previous experience with an ERP system is preferred
· Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 is preferred
· Previous knowledge of FedEx and/or UPS shipping is preferred
· Forklift certification is preferred
· Hazmat/dangerous goods certification is preferred
· OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required
· Experience operating a scan gun or handheld inventory device is required
· Experience with ERP and/or Warehouse Management System (WMS) software is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a warehouse and distribution center environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment, including scan guns, pallet jacks, forklifts, and packaging/box-forming machinery. The employee may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise from equipment, and a fast-paced, physically active environment.
