Position Overview:
The Product Development Coordinator plays a key supporting role in the development and launch of new products. This position assists in coordinating product development activities from concept through commercialization, ensuring projects remain organized, timelines are maintained, and cross-functional teams are aligned. This position works closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to support innovation and successful product launches.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Product Development Support
- Assist in coordinating new product development projects from ideation through launch.
- Support cross-functional teams with formulation, food safety, packaging, pricing, and product positioning activities.
- Research consumer trends, market insights, and competitive products to identify potential innovation opportunities.
- Maintain product development documentation, specifications, and project records.
Commercialization & Launch Coordination
- Support the execution of new product commercialization initiatives by coordinating activities across departments and reporting to project leads
- Track project timelines and key milestones to help ensure successful product launches.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners throughout the development process.
- Assist with gathering and organizing information needed for launch readiness.
Market & Business Support
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support new product introductions and category growth initiatives.
- Assist in evaluating market opportunities and compiling competitive analyses.
- Help prepare product information and recommendations for internal and customer-facing presentations.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Support relationships with suppliers throughout the product development process.
- Coordinate sample requests, product testing, and communication with vendors.
- Assist in monitoring project timelines and deliverables provided by suppliers.
Customer, Marketing & Sales Support
- Assist with customer-specific product development projects and follow-up requests.
- Coordinate product samples for customer meetings, presentations, and strategic initiatives.
- Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams to support product improvements.
- Assist in developing marketing materials, product sell sheets, and customer presentations.
- Help maintain accurate product information for sales and marketing teams.
- Support efforts to ensure marketing materials align with brand standards and customer needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in product development, project coordination, marketing, food service, or related field.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-through abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Interest in food trends, product innovation, and consumer insights.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000, plus bonus. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q1 of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
