Why This Role Matters

Adventure Center Coaches are the everyday connection for the children we serve. Coaches lead a small group of kids, building trusted relationships and creating a safe, joyful, Christ-centered environment where each child is known, valued, encouraged, and growing.

What You’ll Do

Know & Invest in Your Kids

  • Lead and care for a consistent group of up to apx. 15 children, building relationships so each child feels known, valued, and encouraged.
  • Model Christ-like character and help children grow in their faith, character, confidence, and relationships.

Lead a Great Adventure Center Experience

  • Teach and engage children through Bible-based curriculum, academic support, enrichment, games, and other meaningful activities.
  • Create a classroom that is safe, joyful, welcoming, and well-managed.
  • Maintain clear expectations and respond to behavior with consistency, compassion, and appropriate boundaries.
  • Follow all child safety policies and procedures.

Be a Great Teammate

  • Work closely with the Adventure Center Director and fellow Coaches to create a strong, consistent experience for children.
  • Communicate well with parents and represent Mission 1:27 with warmth, professionalism, and a servant’s heart.

What a Win Looks Like

Children are safe, have fun and feel known and loved while growing in their faith, character, confidence, and academics because of the Coach’s consistent investment in their lives.

Requirements:

What You Bring:

  • A mature Christian faith, active involvement in a local church, and agreement with Mission 1:27’s Statement of Faith and Qualifications for Leadership.
  • A genuine love for children and desire to help them grow spiritually, academically, and personally.
  • Patience, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to lead a group of children with both warmth and clear boundaries.
  • Dependability, good communication, and a willingness to receive direction and work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to creating a safe, fun, and meaningful Adventure Center experience every day.
