Patient Coordinator (PC)- Oncology Associates in Bennington, Vermont at Southwestern Vermont Health Care

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for our Oncology department at the SW VT Regional Cancer Center. Full time, Monday through Fridays days, no weekends.

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for providing receptionist, administrative and clerical support and also works in collective fashion with the other Patient Care Coordinators (with assistance as needed from the Patient Financial Advisor) handling the day-to-day responsibilities including telephones, appointment scheduling and confirmation, check in and out process, obtains prior authorizations for tests, inbound and outbound referrals, preloading, scanning and indexing.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in front office support, customer service or related field are required.
• Prior experience in health care preferred.
• Experience with phones and computers a must
