Job Description

About our company:

Bakerly, a happy family-owned company, is proud to be home to one of the fastest-growing brands in the US food industry! We are a baked goods manufacturer that emphasizes delicious, premium, and authentic recipes using only the very best ingredients. Our offices located in Miami, FL, Easton, PA, and San Antonio, TX, will make you feel right at home. Please visit our website to learn more about our delicious French crêpes, golden croissants, fluffy pancakes, and our large range of outstanding French brioches.

Scope and Purpose of the position:

The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern plays a key role in providing analytical and project support to Bakerly’s FP&A team across three workstreams: Industrial, Commercial, and Business Intelligence. The intern contributes both to recurring activities, including day-to-day reporting and data compilation, and to structural improvements such as automating recurring reports, building margin-analysis frameworks, and prototyping BI tools. By combining hands-on reporting support, the role helps the team deliver faster, deeper insight into plant financial performance and commercial margins, contributing to Bakerly’s mission of crafting high-quality bakery products like those enjoyed by millions of families in France.

This is a unique opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance. Beyond supporting recurring deliverables, the internship offers the chance to build financial tracking tools from the ground up, designing dashboards, automating processes, and helping create the analytical infrastructure. With exposure to the FP&A team, the intern will gain rare visibility into a full manufacturing and commercial P&L and develop a strong foundation in financial analysis.

This position plays a key role in bringing Bakerly’s vision to life, delivering moments of joy and connection through our products, while upholding our core values of honesty, reliability, collaboration, positivity, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration:

· Work with the FP&A Analysts and the broader finance team to compile and validate data, support recurring reporting, and align on project priorities across the Industrial, Commercial, and BI workstreams.

· Communicate clearly with the FP&A team on the status of assigned projects and deliverables, flagging data issues, blockers, and findings in a timely manner.

Industrial Reporting Support:

· Help compile and update recurring industrial reports (yield, OEE, cost-per-ton) for the production lines, under the guidance of the Industrial FP&A Analyst

· Support period-over-period comparisons (WoW, MoM, YoY) by line and product category

· Help identify and quantify performance gaps and their financial impact ($ lost, $ recoverable)

· Assist in preparing performance summaries shared with the FP&A team and plant stakeholders

Reporting Automation & Data Preparation:

· Build and maintain templates and data extracts that feed the team’s standard reporting (cost-per-ton, inventory positions, productivity)

· Help consolidate and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency

· Document the logic and steps of automated reports so they can be reused and maintained by the team

· Identify opportunities to simplify or improve existing reporting processes

Commercial Margin Analysis Support:

· Support the development of margin-analysis frameworks by product, SKU, and product category

· Help gather and structure net sales and costs data for commercial margin reviews

· Assist in highlighting trends and optimization opportunities across the commercial portfolio

BI Tool Prototyping & Data Visualization:

· Prototype dashboards and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to visualize plant and commercial performance

· Help test and iterate on data models and visualizations based on team feedback

· Support the preparation of clean, structured datasets ahead of the data-warehouse go-live

In addition to the specific duties outlined, you may be required to perform other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by your manager. These tasks will be relevant to your role and within the scope of your area of expertise.

Requirements:

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data/Business Analytics, or a related field. Must be enrolled in a relevant program and eligible for an internship agreement for the full duration of the assignment.

· No prior professional experience required. A previous internship or coursework in finance, controlling, or data analysis is a plus. An interest in the Food & Beverage or CPG industry is appreciated.

· Some exposure to building reports or dashboards (academic or personal projects welcome).

· Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI preferred) and strong Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (SAGE) is a plus.

· Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to organize, structure, and present data clearly.

· Autonomy, curiosity, and a proactive attitude; comfortable asking questions and learning new tools quickly.

· Basic understanding of financial and cost concepts (P&L, margins, costing) and a willingness to deepen this knowledge on the job.

· Full professional English proficiency required; Spanish and/or French is a plus.
