Job Description
Section 2: Position Purpose
As a member of the Electronic Health Records (EHR) Team, the EHR/ERAM Manager oversees implementations and optimization of Apis’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and eMAR with particular focus on clinical system and service delivery integrity. The EHR/ERAM Manager manages implementation, training, data migration, forms and report adaptation/design and ongoing end-user issue tracking, resolution and reporting through go-live for assigned project. The EHR/ERAM Manager analyzes practices and processes and system updates to implement ongoing clinical documentation optimization and modifications.
Section 3: Major Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain proficiency in Apis’s EHR and eMAR systems.
· Identify and facilitate system development opportunities to support the use of clinical evidence based and best practices across all service lines
· Lead affiliate EHR/eMAR implementations through go-live.
· Develop and maintain corporate and programmatic workflows to ensure system utilization maximizes efficiency and effectiveness.
· Create technical specifications of identified needs that accurately document and communication to application developers design and use intentions
· Develop testing scripts and participation in the user acceptance testing.
· Assess and support the development of training needs relative to new functions
(i.e., e-learnings, curriculum development, user guide modifications etc.) in partnership with APIS’s Learning and Development Department.
· Ensure the presence of ongoing corporate-wide communications related to the EHR/eMAR.
· Assist with related system set up, user support, and other project tasks as needed.
· Requires up to 30% travel annually
Section 6: Job Qualifications and Competencies
Job Qualifications
· Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and licensing language and requirements for various states and licensing bodies.
· Demonstrated experience managing and/or coordinating interdisciplinary projects successfully
· Demonstrated experience communicating organizational change broadly through a variety of channels (email, face to face, presentations etc.)
· Ability to handle and respond to competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· A high level of technical/technology proficiency as an end-user, super user, and/or trainer of an electronic medical record system.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and with at least 5 years’ experience in the areas of: clinical operations in a related Social Service Field -or-
· Master’s Degree, with at least 3 years’ experience in the areas of clinical operations in a related Social Service Field
