Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities for the Mission, TX facility. This position ensures that all production work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with customer requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.
The Production Supervisor provides leadership to production employees across the plant, coordinates workflow between departments, monitors production schedules, supports quality and safety expectations, and helps drive continuous improvement in plant performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise daily production activities across the facility, including coating, racking, surface preparation, painting, packing, shipping support, and related plant operations.
• Ensure production schedules are followed and customer due dates are met.
• Assign employees to work areas based on production priorities, staffing levels, skill sets, and plant needs.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety rules, PPE requirements, and posted procedures.
• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, quality concerns, and staffing needs to plant leadership.
• Work closely with Quality, Shipping/Receiving, Maintenance, Lab, Customer Service, and Management to resolve production issues.
• Monitor product flow through the plant and identify bottlenecks, delays, or process problems.
• Verify that production employees follow approved work instructions, coating requirements, customer specifications, and handling procedures.
• Support quality standards by helping prevent rework, defects, damaged product, and non-conforming material.
• Assist with investigation and correction of production-related quality issues.
• Ensure equipment, tools, racks, work areas, and production spaces are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Report equipment problems, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and process concerns promptly.
• Review production paperwork, lot information, schedules, and related records for accuracy and completeness.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, communication, and professionalism across all shifts and departments.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position directly supervises production employees and may provide direction to leads, operators, painters, rackers, packers, forklift operators, surface prep employees, and other plant personnel as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Previous supervisory, lead, or production leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, coating, automotive, HVAC, metal finishing, or similar environment.
• Ability to lead employees in a fast-paced production setting.
• Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, quality expectations, and shop floor accountability.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, production schedules, customer requirements, and company procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use company systems for production tracking, communication, and reporting.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements:Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in e-coating, powder coating, liquid coating, HVAC coil coating, metal finishing, or industrial manufacturing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
• Experience with quality systems, production metrics, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
• Forklift, crane, or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience using production tracking software, ERP systems, or database systems.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, moving equipment, and production activity.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required by job duties, typically up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, and other PPE as assigned.
• Ability to work around forklifts, cranes, production equipment, coating lines, ovens, and plant traffic.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules as needed to support production demands.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a manufacturing plant environment. The Production Supervisor will spend significant time on the production floor and must be comfortable working around industrial equipment, chemicals, coated parts, racks, forklifts, cranes, and employees performing hands-on production work.
Schedule
Work schedule may vary based on production needs. Overtime, weekend work, and schedule flexibility may be required.
Safety Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor is expected to lead by example in all safety matters. This includes following all safety procedures, ensuring employees use proper PPE, correcting unsafe behavior, reporting hazards, and supporting a safe work environment for all employees, visitors, vendors, and customers.
Quality Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting product quality by ensuring production employees follow work instructions, customer specifications, process requirements, and handling procedures. The supervisor must work with Quality personnel to identify, contain, and correct production-related quality concerns.
