Position: Campus Communication Coordinator

Location: Adventure Campus

Reports to: Care & Operations Pastor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Status: Part-time

The Campus Communications Coordinator supports the communication, marketing, and storytelling efforts of the campus by executing communication plans, creating engaging content, and helping ministries effectively communicate with their audiences. This role works closely with campus staff, ministry leaders, and the Creative Team to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging communication across digital, print, and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Communications Coordination

  • Assist in the execution of communication plans for ministry initiatives, sermon series, events, seasonal campaigns, and church-wide priorities.
  • Coordinate communication requests and support ministry leaders with promotional needs.
  • Help maintain the campus communications calendar and ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Ensure communications align with Bayside's brand standards, messaging, culture, and values.
  • Support the promotion of church-wide initiatives, global events, and major Bayside campaigns.
  • Assist with distributing communication materials and ensuring information is accurate and timely.

Digital Communications & Social Media

  • Create, schedule, and publish content across social media, website, email, and digital communication platforms.
  • Write and edit copy for social media posts, email campaigns, website content, promotional materials, and ministry communications.
  • Monitor social media channels and assist with responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Update website content to ensure information remains current and accurate.
  • Support online engagement efforts by helping connect and communicate with the online community.
  • Track basic engagement metrics and provide reporting as requested.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Assist in gathering and sharing stories that highlight life change, baptisms, outreach efforts, volunteer impact, ministry wins, and church culture.
  • Capture photography and video content during weekend services, events, and ministry activities.
  • Create graphics, slides, promotional materials, and other communication assets as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to collect content and develop communication resources.
  • Maintain organized creative assets, files, and communication materials.

Marketing & Event Promotion

  • Support ministry leaders in promoting events, classes, outreach opportunities, and special initiatives.
  • Help encourage participation through effective communication and promotion.
  • Assist with local marketing efforts and community engagement opportunities.
  • Support communication efforts for major campus events and seasonal initiatives.

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of weekly bulletins and recurring communication pieces.
  • Maintain communication project tracking systems and workflows.
  • Ensure campus signage and promotional materials remain current and accurate.
  • Organize and maintain communication files, assets, and project documentation.
  • Provide communication support during weekend services, special events, and campus initiatives.
  • Attend campus, departmental, all-staff, and all-campus meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Leadership.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Previous of experience in communications, social media or creative design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a heart for ministry
  • Passion for creative storytelling and helping people connect to the mission of the church

Time Commitment

  • Part-time – up to 30 hours per week. Position may include working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
