Are you looking for a new opportunity in a customer service role? Or do you have hands-on experience in landscaping, construction, manufacturing, or another trades-related industry and are ready to transition into a professional office role? Your industry knowledge and practical experience will help you connect with customers and provide knowledgeable, solution-focused service. We’re currently looking for an Inside Sales & Customer Service Team Member to join our team.

In this role, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our customers — answering phones, assisting walk-in clients, preparing quotes, and helping customers select the right products for their projects. You’ll work closely with homeowners, contractors, landscapers, builders, suppliers, and internal team members to provide exceptional customer service and create a positive customer experience from start to finish.

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role that requires someone who genuinely enjoys serving others while staying organized and productive throughout the day.

Practically speaking, here’s what you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis…

  • Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person
  • Assist walk-in customers with product selection and recommendations
  • Prepare accurate quotes and follow up with customers using Salesforce
  • Process Point of Sale (POS) transactions and invoicing
  • Maintain accurate customer records in Salesforce and Sage
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and customer service
  • Monitor order accuracy and help resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Support seasonal salt sales inquiries during winter months

Are you highly organized and detail-oriented?
Managing multiple priorities, customer requests, and administrative tasks comes naturally to you. You take pride in accuracy, follow-through, and staying on top of the details.

Do you have experience in landscaping, construction, building materials, or a related industry?
You understand the pace and environment of the construction or landscape industry and enjoy working with customers in a hands-on, project-based business.

Are you comfortable using technology and CRM systems?
You have experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM software and are confident using Microsoft Office, POS systems, and other digital tools to stay organized and manage customer information effectively.

Are you proactive and self-motivated?
You take initiative, look for ways to help the team, and enjoy getting things done without needing constant direction. You’re dependable, accountable, and willing to jump in where needed.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field considered an asset
  • 1–3 years of customer service or inside sales experience
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, building materials, or related industries preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable self-starter with initiative and accountability
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, Sage, and CRM software considered an asset
