This role is a senior finance leadership position focused on owning the end-to-end revenue and billing operations within a SaaS subscription environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all revenue streams from contract signature through billing, collection, and revenue recognition. The position plays a critical role in managing the order-to-cash cycle, reducing operational friction, and improving financial accuracy across multiple entities. You will lead a small team while working closely with Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and broader Finance stakeholders. This is a highly operational yet strategic role where you will optimize systems, enhance automation, and strengthen financial processes at scale. It is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in complex, high-growth, subscription-based environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and lead the monthly revenue close process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Act as functional owner of revenue systems within NetSuite (Advanced Revenue Management), ensuring data integrity and continuous improvement
  • Manage the full order-to-cash cycle across multiple billing entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with indirect tax regulations
  • Reduce DSO and manual exceptions by identifying and resolving root causes across CRM-to-ERP processes
  • Oversee billing operations and subscription revenue flows, ensuring consistency across renewals, amendments, and invoicing cycles
  • Drive automation and AI adoption within finance workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Lead strategic finance projects including system migrations, entity optimization, and revenue tech stack improvements
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success to resolve operational bottlenecks and improve processes

Requirements:

  • CPA designation with 7–10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in revenue accounting, billing operations, or SaaS finance roles
  • Strong expertise in subscription-based revenue models, including ARR, renewals, deferred revenue, and billing adjustments
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards such as ASPE, IFRS 15, or ASC 606
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (including Advanced Revenue Management preferred) or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with subscription billing platforms such as Recurly, Zuora, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of indirect tax processes in a SaaS environment, including tax filings and compliance (Avalara experience an asset)
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools to improve finance and operational processes

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range aligned with Canadian market standards (approximately 120,000–150,000 CAD)
  • Fully remote work flexibility within Canada
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits
  • Opportunity to lead and optimize a critical revenue function in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Exposure to strategic transformation projects, including systems and tax optimization initiatives
  • Leadership role with direct team management responsibilities
  • Collaborative and innovative work culture focused on continuous improvement and automation
