Broadband Installation Technician - Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Broadband Installation Technician - Lead based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced broadband installation professional to lead the deployment of advanced connectivity infrastructure across multi-dwelling and commercial properties. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the installation, testing, and optimization of rooftop wireless equipment, cabling systems, and network components while ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. Working across a variety of installation environments, you will play a key role in delivering reliable broadband connectivity and maintaining high-quality installation standards. This position is ideal for a technically skilled field professional who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional service.

Accountabilities
  • Perform the installation, configuration, and testing of broadband infrastructure, including rooftop antennas, Distribution Point Units (DPUs), test modems, splitters, Ethernet, coaxial, USB-C, and PoE cabling.
  • Install and secure rooftop radio and antenna equipment, ensuring proper alignment, mounting, grounding, weatherproofing, and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Route and terminate network cabling throughout multi-dwelling units, telecom closets, risers, rooftops, and designated building locations while maintaining organized cable management.
  • Complete end-to-end system testing, validate signal strength, verify equipment performance, and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure successful installations.
  • Document completed installations by recording hardware information, speed test results, and full system testing data.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely while following installation standards, quality requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Support installation planning and coordinate effectively with project teams to ensure timely project completion across multiple job sites.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach while representing the organization on-site and resolving technical installation challenges.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Previous experience in broadband, wireless telecommunications, cable installation, or related field service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications cabling, including Ethernet, coaxial cable, PoE systems, and network hardware installation.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and field installation equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to local job sites.
  • Comfortable working at heights, including rooftops, and in confined telecom spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while performing physically demanding installation tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately document installation results.
  • Civil construction experience, trenching, conduit installation, or electrical certifications are considered valuable assets.
