Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Memory Support Director to lead our Memory Support Neighborhood and create an enriching environment where residents living with dementia experience dignity, purpose, and joy every day. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about developing innovative programming, supporting families, building a strong culture, and partnering with other departments to ensure an exceptional resident experience.
What You'll DoAs our Memory Support Director, you will:
- Design, implement, and oversee engaging, person-centered programming that enhances the quality of life for residents living with dementia.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team dedicated to delivering compassionate, relationship-based care.
- Foster a neighborhood culture where residents thrive and team members are proud of the work they do.
- Build trusting relationships with residents' families through ongoing communication, education, and support.
- Partner closely with our Sales team to welcome prospective residents and families, participate in tours, and support successful move-ins.
- Ensure the Memory Support Neighborhood consistently meets or exceeds state licensing requirements and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve outstanding resident outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing a resident care department, preferably within assisted living or memory care.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, coaching staff, and creating a positive, accountable workplace culture.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
- Passion for serving older adults, particularly those living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dementia Care Certification or other specialized dementia training.
- Experience developing and leading life enrichment programming.
- Experience partnering with sales teams to support occupancy growth and successful resident transitions.
