The role requires deep technical engagement across database security, networking, identity, and access management.
You’ll work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to turn complex security requirements into secure, customer-focused products.
As the security subject-matter expert, you’ll influence product decisions across the broader organization and guide other product managers on security-related challenges.
You’ll also represent the security roadmap externally with enterprise customers, prospects, analysts, and industry stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to combine strategic product leadership, technical depth, and customer influence in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.
- Own the security product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap, establishing investment priorities and building the business case with engineering, leadership, customers, and the broader market.
- Define and prioritize security product initiatives while balancing customer risk, business value, engineering effort, and long-term strategic impact.
- Develop deep expertise across database security, networking, identity and access management (IAM), and related security technologies.
- Partner closely with engineering and design to ensure products are secure by design and that security requirements are translated into clear specifications, user stories, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead backlog prioritization and make informed trade-offs regarding scope, timing, resources, and product quality.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for security launches, including positioning, enablement materials, documentation, and customer messaging.
- Monitor the performance and adoption of security capabilities in real-world environments, using product and customer data to inform future roadmap decisions.
- Serve as the organization’s security product subject-matter expert, advising product managers and cross-functional teams on security-adjacent initiatives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and informal mentorship to other product managers, helping strengthen security thinking across the product organization.
- Represent the security product strategy externally with strategic customers, prospects, analysts, and industry audiences.
- Translate sophisticated technical security concepts and trade-offs into clear business-oriented messaging for non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or a comparable technology environment, with significant and sustained experience owning security products or security-focused capabilities.
- Proven experience developing and executing organizational-level security product strategy, including multi-year roadmaps and investment planning.
- Strong hands-on understanding of database security principles and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts and their security implications.
- In-depth expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and related security controls.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to make difficult prioritization decisions based on customer needs, business impact, risk, and engineering complexity.
- Demonstrated program management capabilities, including planning, execution, dependency management, and risk mitigation across multiple workstreams.
- Track record of representing products externally with customers, analysts, prospects, or industry events.
- Ability to explain complex technical security topics clearly to executives and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other product managers, whether through formal leadership or informal influence.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the judgment to distinguish situations that require escalation from those where independent action is appropriate.
- Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment where priorities can shift and ambiguity is expected.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
- Experience working with modern cloud, data, infrastructure, or enterprise security products is advantageous.

- Employer contributions toward healthcare coverage.
- Equity in the company, with stock options provided to new team members.
- Flexible time off in the United States and generous leave policies in other locations.
- $500 home office setup allowance for remote employees.
- Opportunities to participate in global company gatherings and in-person team events.
- Opportunity to shape security product strategy at a rapidly scaling technology organization.
- High visibility and close collaboration with engineering, product, sales, marketing, customers, and executive leadership.
