Relationship Banker

THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:

Senior Relationship Banker

DIRECT REPORTS FROM:

Generally, this position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but may informally supervise and guide junior Commercial Lenders in the bank and may play a role in prioritizing the work load for a number of support positions including; Relationship Banking Group Assistants, Credit Analysts, and Documentation Preparation Specialists.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responds to referrals from Senior Management and others

• Actively participates in new business development program.

• Interviews commercial loan applicants.

• Structures and analyzes new and renewed loan requests and makes loans within lending authority

• Closes loans.

• Completes file documentation.

• Manages all aspects of an assigned portfolio of loans and relationships.

• Monitors compliance with loan policies and appropriate regulations.

• Assigns appropriate risk grades to loans and relationships.

• Collects past due loans unless assigned to the centralized collectors.

• Handles customer service matters and inquiries for lending and non-lending issues.

SECONDARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sends financial statements to the credit analysts for spreading and analysis.

• Monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

• Provides informal training and guidance for less experienced lenders.

• Participates in community activities and organizations.

• Refers appropriate banking opportunities to other departments and personnel.

• Cross sells all company products and services.

• Willingly accepts and performs all assigned duties and responsibilities.
