Position Title: Associate of Physical Plant
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Assistant Director of Physical Plant.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all
employees and visitors. Perform tasks in repairs and preventative maintenance on
machinery, mechanical equipment, and buildings in accordance with diagrams,
operating manuals and manufacturer's specifications. (See attached for more details).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Communicate and work closely with management and yet be able to work
independently and make decisions.
2. Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines and make decisions.
3. Required to be a quick learner and a quick thinker, with good problem-solving
skills.
4. Ability to work through challenges that will arise while at the same time staying
focused on necessary tasks and get the mandatory day-to-day tasks completed.
5. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts and large
trucks.
6. Able to handle a great deal of hands-on work. Some heavy lifting is required
and knowledge of mechanical and steam systems will need to be learned,
understood and maintained.
7. Knowledge of basic math skills and information technology.
8. Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. This will vary depending
on whether the plant is in full operation or down for maintenance. r
Able to respond to problems during off shift hours when needed.
9. Required to complete tasks that are started and not leave the next shift
supervisor "hanging" or "in-the-dark" on a task that is in process.
10. Knowledge of and adherence to all required cGMP and PPE rules
Required Skills:
1. General mechanical and production/processing knowledge.
2. Computer literate.

ASSOCIATE OF PHYSICAL PLANT PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
The Associate of Physical Plant’s primary job responsibility at Keystone Potato Products
is to provide support to the Assistant Director of Physical Plant, Maintenance Team,
Receiving Manager and Physical Plant Manager as needed. Responsibilities also include
the ability to operate, troubleshoot, improve and maintain the following equipment,
systems, and areas in order to effectively operate in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
MAJOR:
1. Boiler / DA / condensate return system
2. Landfill gas system
3. Wastewater treatment system
4. Well water treatment/storage/delivery system
5. Compressed air and drying system
6. Refrigeration system
7. Propane system
8. Make-up air (MAU) systems (Dehy, Fresh Cut, Cooler, Peel Drying)
9. Waste room pumps
MINOR:
1. Backup generator
2. Office HVAC/water heating systems
3. Plant heating systems
4. General building maintenance (roof, walls, floors, etc.)
5. General plant systems maintenance (man doors, overhead doors, dock levelers, lighting, etc.)
6. General grounds maintenance (lawn maintenance and landscaping, snow removal, exterior lighting, storm sewer system, grounds sanitation, etc.)
7. Sanitary sewer system
8. Site security
Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
