At Children’s Specialized Hospital, we are dedicated to helping children with complex medical needs and behavioral challenges reach their full potential. Within our RUCARES Pediatric Feeding Disorders program, our teams work collaboratively to deliver life-changing applied behavior analytic (ABA) services. We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and driven team member to step into the vital role of Paraprofessional Technician. By partnering closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), you will play a direct, hands-on role in helping pediatric patients overcome feeding disorders and developmental milestones. As a Paraprofessional Technician, a typical day might include the following:

• Conducting ABA sessions with pediatric patients using standard procedures under the direct guidance of a professional behavior analyst.
• Implementing critical clinical protocols, including intake, functional assessments, intensive feeding treatments, and family discharge procedures.
• Assisting with skill-acquisition programs designed to increase food/liquid acceptance, self-feeding, chewing, and core communication skills.
• Supporting behavior-reduction strategies, such as implementing safe extinction protocols or non-contingent reinforcement to reduce mealtime disruptions.
• Managing data and analysis by entering daily tracking data into spreadsheets, generating progress graphs, and drafting precise session notes.
• Empowering families and caregivers through hands-on coaching and training to ensure long-term clinical success at home and in school.
• Maintaining a pristine environment by ensuring the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of department treatment spaces, materials, and equipment.
• Contributing to innovative research activities alongside clinical faculty to advance the field of pediatric feeding and behavioral therapy.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Experience: Preference is given to individuals with prior experience working with patients diagnosed with developmental disabilities, pediatric feeding disorders, or behavioral challenges within an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting.
