About This Position
Job Summary: To maintain and update the calendar of services for each patient through the coordination with the clinical supervisor and/or Director of Patient Care Services.
Essential Functions: Coordinates all nursing staffing and patient needs. Keeps track of nursing staff availability. Prepares needed medical supplies. Responsible in receiving verbal/telephone reports from medical personnel. Makes contact and confirms with patient prior to sending out medical personnel. Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum Experience required: On-the-job training provided in staffing procedure. experience in coordinating pre and post-hospital care preferred. Skills Required: Computer skills required for clinical and clerical programs. Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and have a working knowledge on medical terminology. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments. Medical Assistant background preferred.
