Community Resource Educator in Chicago, Illinois at Saint Anthony Hospital

Provides services to clients based on client needs, areas of professional knowledge and skill, and in accordance with the mission and scope of services of the Community Wellness Program. Helps clients access health care, social services, and public benefits. Facilitates community-based education and support workshops, classes and groups. Participates in community health and wellness activities. Assure that Community Wellness complies with applicable grants, service contracts and reporting systems.

Requirements

• • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of one year work experience related to the job description
  • Familiarity with community resources in the hospital’s service area
  • Basic knowledge of health, social work and public benefits
  • Comfort and familiarity with Latino and/or African American cultures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends
