Position Overview

ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Catalytic Converter Buyer/Grader. Reporting to the General Manager/Director of Projects, this role is responsible for supporting corporate revenue growth and profitability through business development, procurement, and sales performance.

This includes maintaining strong service levels to retain and grow existing accounts and vendors, as well as prospecting for new business in a competitive market to expand the customer base. The role is also responsible for the accurate grading of all catalytic converters purchased through the Abbotsford location.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while growing existing accounts to increase volume and market share.
• Support and train yard and commercial teams on catalytic converter grading and buying practices.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Corporate Operations teams to develop and improve buying strategies and best practices.
• Provide ongoing support to all yards for accurate catalytic converter grading.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and third-party partners.
• Track performance, meet budget targets, and provide regular updates on results, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience; post-secondary education in Project Management is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of catalytic converter grading and related materials.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments, with willingness to travel to ABC Recycling yard locations.
