Regional Sales Manager
Industry: Underground Longwall Mining
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team and drive business growth. This role requires a proven sales professional with a mining experience and a deep understanding of powered roof supports, pan-line systems, locomotives, and longwall electrical controls.
The successful candidate will leverage technical expertise and strong customer relationships to expand market presence, manage key accounts, and provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of leading mining companies.
Essential FunctionsDevelop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Manage and expand customer accounts while building long-term partnerships with mining operators and contractors.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in underground longwall mining operations.
Provide consultative sales support, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution recommendations.
Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Prepare sales forecasts, track pipeline activity, and report regularly to senior management.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and client site visits.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Becker Global America’s conveyor component systems.
Assist in product demonstrations, commissioning, and post-installation support for new and existing clients.
Attend trade shows, customer site visits, and technical meetings to represent Becker Global America’s conveyor technology portfolio.
Stay current with industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive offerings.
Hands-on experience in underground longwall mining operations.
Strong technical knowledge of:
Powered Roof Supports (PRS)
Pan-line systems
Locomotives
Longwall Electrical Controls
Proven track record of success in outside sales, business development, or account management roles.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.
Existing relationships with major mining companies.
Experience selling high-value capital equipment or industrial systems.
Strong understanding of aftermarket parts and service support within the mining sector.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
