Geocgi is looking for a Senior GIS Analyst to support our client, Bureau of Indian Affairs in Denver, Colorado. This position serves as Key Personnel and functions as the technical lead and project manager for a team supporting parcel mapping, land status visualization, data integration, and geospatial application development in support of trust land administration. This position is a hybrid opportunity with the primary performance at the BIA Office of Trust Services (OTS), Division of Resource Integration and Services (DRIS); Bureau of Indian Affairs, 13922 Denver W Pkwy, Lakewood, CO 80401.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the project lead and primary technical interface between contractor staff and the BIA Contracting Officer’s Representative.
• Provide technical direction and task oversight for a team of GIS Analyst personnel supporting DRIS mapping and data validation efforts.
• Lead the interpretation and mapping of legal land descriptions for parcels, tracts, rights of way, leases, and other encumbrances derived from Trust Asset and Accounting Management System data.
• Develop and manage geospatial workflows within the Esri Enterprise Parcel Fabric environment.
• Design and publish GIS applications and dashboards to support leadership decision making and program oversight.
• Develop scripts and automation to support parcel fabric workflows, data validation, and production efficiency.
• Establish standardized templates for mapping products and applications to support data consistency and repeatability.
• Produce BIA compliant metadata and confirm all spatial data products align with established data standards.
• Document technical procedures and develop standard operating procedures where gaps exist to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with federal GIS specialists, program analysts, physical scientists, and other stakeholders across DRIS initiatives.

The following are requirements of the Senior GIS Analyst:
• U.S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport.
• 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree; or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
• Demonstrated experience leading GIS teams or serving as a technical lead on geospatial projects.
• Experience working with legal land descriptions, rights of way, leases, and land status datasets.
• Advanced experience with Esri Enterprise environments, including parcel fabric workflows.
• Experience developing GIS applications, dashboards, and production mapping solutions.
• Experience producing metadata and working within federal geospatial data standards.
• Ability to document procedures and support knowledge transfer within a technical team.
• No DWI’s in the past 10 years and no record of crimes against children.

The following are preferred of the Senior GIS Analyst:
• GISP, Esri Enterprise, AWS or Azure certifications.
• Experience supporting federal land management, trust land, or cadastral GIS programs.
• Experience working with TAAMS or similar authoritative land record systems.
