About This Position
This position is local hybrid remote 60 miles to Clarksville, TN.
Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for graphic design, multimedia production, copywriting, public relations, and marketing support functions to further short and long-term Credit Union objectives. Plans, analyzes, and facilitates the creation of visual designs for digital and print needs, including marketing and campaign materials, advertisements, event graphics, flyers, brochures, programs, posters, newsletters, invitations, reports, and digital content including websites and social media platforms. Serves as Fortera’s primary photographer and videographer. Coordinates activities with outside printers, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors to complete projects within scheduled deadlines and ensure that printed materials are of the highest quality. Provides support to the marketing team and other departments on special projects and copy writing. Responsible for providing excellent marketing support through promotion of Credit Union products and services to members and the public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Multimedia and Graphic Design
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of multimedia and graphic design duties.
Assumes responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations exist with members, vendors, media contacts, and external business contacts.
Marketing Support
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification:
- Associate degree in graphic design, art, or a related field, or equivalent field experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
Required Knowledge:
- Proficient in multimedia and graphic design and related software including Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of pre-press processes including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typesetting rules, and printing options and techniques.
- Proficient in photography and videography.
- Understanding of different digital mediums (website, social) and file optimizations for each.
- Working knowledge of credit union and financial industry developments, trends, programs, products & services preferred.
Required Experience:
- Three to five years of experience in graphic design or related experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Accurately assesses cultural environment, exhibiting emotional intelligence and appropriate sensitivity while maintaining individuality and authenticity
- Preference for working in organizations that place priority on personal humility, diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven multimedia and graphic design experience
- Strong portfolio of design work

- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)

- Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound (or their metric counterparts).

- Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.
- Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.
