TRAVEL <5%

SALARY $65K-$75K

U.S. Ski & Snowboard is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time, beneficial position eligible for our full benefits package including medical insurance and retirement. For inquiries or help with your application, please email HR@usskiandsnowboard.org.

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a role focused on the active maintenance technical and managerial tasks required for facility upkeep, security, janitorial, shipping & receiving and purchasing, tenant management of the organization’s headquarters at the Center of Excellence (COE) and vehicle fleet. This position requires a highly motivated; self-starting individual that has a combination of hands-on working knowledge of facility repair and the ability to plan long term priorities and shift focus as tasks require. Working with potential building tenants and building renovations is required.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Athlete Experience
    • Maintain a high level of building safety and pride in the facilities that are used to develop some of the strongest ski and snowboard athletes in the world.
    • Manage maintenance tracking and reporting systems that help us deliver a high level of responsive care for our athletes and employee’s needs around facilities, safety, procurement, shipping & receiving.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Manage a routine preventative maintenance schedule to ensure safe and well-maintained facilities.
  • Financial Performance
    • When special assistance is required from outside contractors, FM Manager will request multiple quotes from contractors, suppliers and submit proposals and recommendations for necessary building maintenance to executives for approval.
    • Balance maintenance and shipping budgets and projections for upcoming maintenance & capital costs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform basic repairs as needed and directed.
  • Create longer term plans for building maintenance and projects ensuring thoughtful communication, review and approval.
  • Manage designated work order management system to track, prioritize and complete maintenance requests
  • Schedule, coordinate and supervise repairs with contractors while on site as needed.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to high level management expectations and industry standards.
  • Ensure all functional areas including, but not limited to: fire alarms, security, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pool, landscape and other exterior systems are kept in good working order.
  • Maintain basic tool inventories, as needed.
  • Manage building security systems to work properly and effectively – FM Manager will be the first contact for building security, alarms, snow removal and must be available by phone / text.
  • Ensure outside of the building is well maintained and professional looking at all times.
  • Work with human resources to ensure long term parking of athlete and employee vehicles is within vehicle policy.
  • Responsible for on/off site storage areas, including access and key management.
  • Assist in moving material between storage locations and on/off site locations.
  • Manage janitorial, recycling, purchasing and restocking of building interior. Keep the interior & exterior of the building maintained to the highest standards at all times.
  • Provides general landscaping of the grounds including picking up trash, clearing weeds & mulch maintenance.
  • Keep FMS Manager office, shipping and receiving, loading dock, storage areas and basement organized and professional looking at all times.
  • Schedule and ensure timely recurring services for shredding, garbage and recycling support ongoing and dynamic business needs.
  • Maintain fleet vehicles and provide transport to dealerships and service locations
  • Other duties, as requested.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience with facilities, asset, and work order management software
  • Computer competency including internet, spreadsheets, and word processing

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 years old and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass and maintain an acceptable background check and SafeSport training each year.
  • May be required to operate a variety of manual and motorized equipment.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy objects over 50lbs safely, on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, lift, twist, carry, climb stairs w/in indoor and outdoor environments. Visual & auditory ability required to assess and diagnose maintenance issues.
