Job Description

Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Account Manager based in Canada.

This role is part of a Partner Success team focused on strengthening long-term relationships with nonprofit organizations across Canada.
You will manage renewals and identify opportunities to expand partnerships through additional fundraising solutions.
The position combines relationship management, consultative account growth, negotiation, and strategic problem-solving.
You will work closely with internal teams to understand partner needs and ensure those needs are reflected in how solutions are delivered.
Success will depend on building trusted relationships, anticipating challenges, and creating scalable processes as the partner base grows.
The role offers significant autonomy in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve and initiative is highly valued.
You will have the opportunity to directly support organizations working toward meaningful social impact while contributing to sustainable partnership growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead renewal, upsell, and other partner communications while keeping nonprofit goals and priorities at the center of each interaction.
  • Build strong relationships with internal Partner Success Strategists to understand the complete partner journey leading up to renewal.
  • Develop and present tailored renewal and expansion plans based on individual partner needs, taking ownership of opportunities well ahead of key deadlines.
  • Proactively identify and address internal and external challenges before they become larger issues.
  • Represent nonprofit partner needs across internal teams and contribute to how products and services are developed and delivered.
  • Communicate relevant product developments and proactively identify opportunities to provide additional value to partners.
  • Manage and continuously improve renewal and upsell processes, maintaining accurate CRM records to support effective scheduling and forecasting.
  • Identify and share partner feedback, customer success practices, and relevant industry trends with the broader team.
  • Help develop scalable tactics and processes that support continued growth in both the team and partner portfolio.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience within a SaaS customer success environment, managing clients and handling negotiations; experience in nonprofit fundraising is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work accurately and consistently within CRM and sales tools.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn, take on projects beyond your core expertise, and follow initiatives through to completion.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a collaborative approach, balancing independent action with appropriate team alignment.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and navigating nuanced situations to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to adapt as responsibilities and priorities evolve within a rapidly growing organization.
  • A proactive, relationship-oriented approach with the ability to build trust and create positive partner experiences.
Benefits:
  • OTE compensation of CAD$115,000–$128,000, including a base salary of CAD$86,000–$96,000 and equity.
  • Fully remote work from anywhere in Canada.
  • Health, dental, vision, critical illness, disability, and life insurance through Sun Life.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off, subject to local requirements and Canadian public holidays.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Paid parental leave for all parents.
  • CAD$800 annual professional development reimbursement.
  • CAD$300 annual work-from-home reimbursement for home-office equipment or utility costs.
  • CAD$250 monthly coworking reimbursement, which can also be used toward a home Wi-Fi bill.
  • CAD$1,000 referral bonuses.
  • Access to a company/team Claude AI Assistant account.
