ABOUT THE ROLE (Remote)
The Field Services Training & Enablement team designs and delivers the learning experiences that prepare our Field Services organization to perform their roles safely, consistently, and effectively. This includes onboarding, technical, and procedural training, product and process updates, and ongoing skills development for field-based personnel. The team partners closely with Field Services leadership, subject matter experts, Operations, and Quality/Compliance to ensure training keeps pace with evolving processes, products, and customer needs.
This role will design, develop, and maintain training programs and learning materials that support the onboarding, upskilling, and continued performance of Visante’s onsite client teams. You will translate complex technical and procedural information into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences across multiple formats, including instructor-led training, eLearning, job aids, videos, and blended learning programs. This role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts, field leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with business and compliance requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and update instructional materials for Field Services, including onboarding curricula, technical/procedural training, and soft skill modules.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), Field Services leadership, and Operations to identify training needs, gather content, and validate accuracy of technical and process information.
- Apply adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective, learner-centered training solutions.
- Develop training for multiple delivery modalities, including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), self-paced eLearning, video, and blended learning programs.
- Build and maintain content within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) and SharePoint platforms, ensuring materials are organized, current, and accessible.
- Create assessments, knowledge checks, and evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and learner comprehension.
- Support new hire onboarding programs and ongoing skill training for field personnel.
- Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure training content reflects current policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Gather and analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve training content and delivery methods.
- Maintain version control and documentation standards for all training materials.
- Stay current on instructional design trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to training programs and processes.
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4+ years of relevant instructional design/training experience in lieu of a degree).
Experience
Required: 5+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, or a related learning and development role. 4+ years of experience project managing learning programs. Demonstrated experience applying instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles. Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, Scribe, or similar).
Preferred: Experience designing training for a field-based, technical, or service-delivery workforce. Familiarity with video production/editing tools and multimedia development. Experience with performance support tools, microlearning, or mobile learning design. Experience creating graphics for training solutions and communication needs
Credentials
Preferred: Certification in instructional design or learning and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD certification) is a plus.
